Are you sick of the atrocious, dangerous and damaging potholes on Staten Island? Has your car endured multiple flat tires from potholes? Do you ever feel like you are on a rollercoaster just driving around Staten Island? Have you said enough is enough with these roads??? Do you think it’s time for Staten Island to look into the materials we’re using for our roads?
If you agree, I highly encourage to attend this special meeting on a possible solution to the pothole epidemic on Staten Island…ASPHALT RUBBER. As a result of my continuous research of asphalt rubber, an expert from the asphalt rubber industry will be our guest speaker to discuss the history, where it’s being used today and the benefits of bringing the asphalt rubber to Staten Island.
Back on January 18th 2014, I was featured in the Staten Island Advance highlighting the atrocious potholes on the South Shore of Staten Island. In addition to showing the reporter our potholes around the area, I also suggested that we look into alternative solutions to the materials that are being used in the asphalt. An alternative that I have been researching for the last few years is asphalt rubber. Many of you that attend our meetings regularly have heard me discuss the benefits of bringing asphalt rubber to Staten Island. However, for those of you that have not attended, asphalt rubber is a pavement material that could provide POTHOLE FREE ROADS for Staten Island!!!
Are you interested in learning more about it? Do you think it sounds too good to be true? Are you wondering whether this is being used successfully elsewhere? Do you find yourself thinking if pothole free roads even exist???
I ask that you attend this very important meeting to learn about the solution, ask those burning questions and advocate on behalf of getting smoother, safer and lasting POTHOLE FREE ROADS.
Should you have any questions and/or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
